Dr. Rajib Patitundi joined the University of Gour Banga as the First Development Officer of the University on 20.05.2011. Dr. Rajib Patitundi has done his M Com. from the University of Calcutta and M Phil from the University of Burdwan. In M Phil his subject for the dissertation was Venture Capital Financing in India. He has been awarded with Doctoral Degree for his research on Risk Management in Agricultural from the University of North Bengal. He has also successfully completed MBA with specialization in Finance from the Sikkim Manipal University under Distance Education. Before joining the University of Gour Banga he has worked as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Commerce at Samsi College, Malda. He has contributed research articles to various journals and critical anthologies.

Apart from the Statutory Duties of the Development Officer, the office of the Development officer of the University of Gour Banga has been discharging many important additional assignments. Details are stated below:

• Nodal Officer for NHRC -MIS under the supervision of RUSA
• Nodal officer for State funded scholarships like SC ST OBC, Minority Scholarships, Aikyashree, and Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM Khayashree K-3, Merit cum Means) etc.
• Nodal officer for National funded scholarships of different types of Central and UGC schemes.
• SVMCM Non-Net Fellowship for M. Phil and Ph.D. students out of State Fund.
• PFMS - 'Maker or Data Operator' for different types of UGC Fellowships
